GUEST READERS
If you are a reader and would like to come visit our classroom
for 20-25 minutes to share your reading with us, we would love it! You could
show us some of your favorite books (fiction, non-fiction, magazines,
newspapers, maps, Kindles, - ANY kind of
reading!), talk about your favorite places to read, your varying purposes for
reading, how you choose books, etc. It would also be terrific if you could
share one of your favorite children’s books. You could read a book you loved as
a child or pick one that you enjoy reading to your first grader. Just let us know you would
like to read, and we will figure out a time! We also welcome any parents,
grandparents, or friends who would like to read to us via Skype. This is a
great way for people to share their reading even if they are unable to get into
the classroom! Just let us know in advance if you will be using Skype so that
we can prepare for your book sharing. Please contact me if you are interested

helpful if you provide a few dates for us to choose from. That way we avoid
field trips and birthday celebrations. We also try to limit our guest readers
to one per week. We will get you scheduled and send a note verifying your
date/time.
P.S. ~ Some people like to keep their reading a surprise.
If you prefer to be a mystery reader,
just let us know and we will keep the secret until you arrive!
